The client wished to create an additional bedroom within the existing loft space. To achieve this, the floor joists and rafters were upgraded to meet structural requirements, and an enclosed staircase was introduced to provide privacy and ensure compliance with fire safety regulations.
Planning permission was not required for this project. The Building Control application has been submitted, and the client is due to commence construction shortly.
