This project is a design and technical drawings job, the client expressed that they were looking for a loft conversion, after our initial site visit, we soon realised that with the current height to the ridge in the loft was only 2.1m therefore we had to look at different options on how the height would be achieved whether that was dropping the ceilings or raising the roof. The agreement ourselves and the client came to was that we were going to raise the roof by 6 brick courses to give us ample height once the existing floor joists had been upgraded.
This project was submitted to planning by ourselves and managed by us, we obtained the planning permission after 10 weeks, the project has since had technical drawings produced and is now ready to proceed onto the building control stage before the build commences on site.
